We are recruiting for Trustees
Trustees are critical to our success as an organisation, providing strategic oversight and governance. We welcome applications from upstanding members of the community with backgrounds and skills which can add value to our current Trustee skillset.
See below for more information on applying.
Applying to be a Trustee
Cardiff Women’s Aid is recruiting four Trustees with a commitment to ending violence against women and children. Experience is particularly valued in mental health, safeguarding, social service provision, housing, law, accountancy, management and public sector governance. One Trustee will be appointed as Treasurer-designate.
The Board wishes to diversify its membership to better reflect the different communities of Cardiff, so applications from able people from a wide range of backgrounds are welcome. Trustees are unpaid, though reasonable travel and childcare expenses may be claimed.
The charity works in partnership with South Wales Police, Cardiff City Council, Welsh Women’s Aid, and housing and support organisations to provide 24/7 support for victims and survivors of domestic abuse across the city.
If you are interested in applying, please email your CV and a cover letter explaining what you would bring to the role of Trustee and why you are drawn to volunteering your time and expertise to Cardiff Women’s Aid to Surina Cockram at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line Trustee Recruitment.
Application deadline: 12 noon Monday 8 February
Interview dates: Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 February (via Zoom)
See the main trustee page for more information about our current trustees.
