Fundraise
Fundraising is an incredibly rewarding way of supporting a cause which is close to your heart. We welcome all fundraising drives, from sponsored walks, to bake sales, to marathons or head shaves! It’s totally up to you - just make sure you get in touch with us to let us know what you’re up to, so that we can publicise it through our social media channels for you.
The easiest way to set up a fundraiser is through JustGiving, but if you have any questions, email fundraising@cardiffwomensaid.org.uk
Cardiff Women's Aid are currently using funds in four main ways:
- Emergency Housing
Beds, bedding, toiletries, clothing, etc. - Leaving the service/new accommodation supplies
Bedding, kitchenware, etc. - Refurbishment of emergency housing
Paint, carpets, labour costs. - Supplies for the SHOUT aftercare workshops
Yoga mats, art supplies, sewing supplies, etc.
What could your donation do?
£0
provides a relocation starter pack, including kitchen supplies (crockery and cutlery), bedding, etc.£0
will provide a child in refuge with a starter pack: brand new pajamas, underwear, toiletries, a toy and some books.£0
will fund our aftercare workshops and services for women recovering from trauma and abuse.£0
will buy an 'own my story' journal for women attending recovery groups.£0
will buy a single quilt for a room in refuge, keeping women and children safe and warm.
Text to Donate
You can also easily donate to Cardiff Women’s Aid by text, simply text CWA to 70085 to donate £5. Texts cost £5 plus one standard rate message and you’ll be opting in to hear more about our work and fundraising via telephone and SMS.
If you’d like to give £5 but do not wish to receive marketing communications, text CWANOINFO to 70085.
If you would like to donate more, or less, than £5 then text CWA, followed by the amount you would like to donate, e.g CWA 2 for £2, CWA 10 for £10 or CWA 20 for £20 to 70085.
If you’d like to give but do not wish to receive marketing communications from us, text CWANOINFO followed by the amount you would like to donate to 70085.
Merchandise
You can support an amazing, life-saving and life-changing service, while raising awareness and representing the power that is women, by purchasing our in-house designed merchandise. A percentage of each sale is donated to us.
